An opportunity that changed everything

When Aaron came to our Workforce Australia program, he wasn’t sure what direction his career would take. His Job Coach identified a local initiative — Fresh Start for Aboriginal Pathways to Water Operations Program by Shoalhaven Water — and saw it as the perfect opportunity for Aaron to explore his options.

From there, our team got to work. We supported Aaron with:

  • Upskilling — including obtaining his White Card
  • Interview clothing — so he could present with confidence
  • Fuel assistance — removing financial barriers to attending interviews and training

That wrap-around support helped Aaron complete the two-week course and he has now been selected for a traineeship with Shoalhaven City Council.
