Young people (under 25)

At AKG, we understand that young people face higher levels of unemployment than the general population, and we are dedicated to making a difference

Inspiring young people

We believe every young person deserves a fair shot at a great future.
Being out of work can make it harder to build confidence, gain experience, or figure out your next step but it doesn’t have to stay that way.

At AKG, we’re here to help you build the skills, knowledge and mindset to thrive in the world of work. Our support is practical, hands-on, and tailored to what employers in your area are really looking for. Whether you’re exploring your options or ready to take the next step, we’ll help you move forward with purpose, confidence and a clear path ahead.

We provide support with respect and understanding

Across our network of businesses, we support young people with specialist services, founded on respect and understanding for their specific needs.

Jobfind

Jobfind supports young people to access work and education opportunities so they can start their careers, build on their skills and capabilities, and transition to in-demand industries.

In Australia, Jobfind delivers a specialised youth service in the Cairns Employment Region, called Workforce Australia – Transition to Work. In Transition to Work, young people aged 15-24 years receive one-on-one support from a youth mentor, tailored to their personal circumstances and employment and education goals and ambitions. Eligible participants can also access free youth advisory sessions for career guidance and support.

uLaunch

uLaunch supports young people living with a disability, injury, or health condition, including anxiety or depression as they make the transition from school to work.

MAX

Their motto is “No young person is left behind” and their Youth Coaches provide one-on-one mentoring to people aged between 15-24 years old who are disengaged from social services, employment and education.

In Tennant Creek, RN Employment deliver the innovative ‘Step In Step Up’ youth program. The program supports Indigenous youth between 15-24 years old to reconnect with employment, education, family, culture and other support services.
