Tell us about you

Anyone who has made an enquiry with the SEE program can choose an appointment time to meet with our team and ask some questions around what you want to learn in the program e.g. improve your computer skills in your current job.

If you are referred to MAX by an employment services provider such as Workforce Australia, they will help you make an appointment with us

During the appointment we will also check how we can help you with your language, literacy, numeracy or digital skills.

As a part of the program a training plan will be created for you to show how we can help you achieve your goals. If you have any concerns about getting to and from your class, let us know so we can help.

What you will learn

In SEE program classes, you will improve your English language, literacy or numeracy skills so you can move into further study or work. You will also gain digital literacy skills.

You will gain stronger reading skills, support with writing and using numbers. We will help you learn how to apply these to every day life, your work environment or help you with job applications and writing cover letters or resumes.

Through digital skills training, we can help you learn how to navigate the internet, use applications via a smartphone to help with everyday life or learn applications like Word, Excel and Powerpoint.

Your next steps

After finishing the SEE program, your next steps may involve study towards a qualification or vocational training. You may be looking to improve your career or advance in your current role. Or if you are looking for work, the course will give you the skills you need to look and apply for work.

Whatever your situation, we will make a plan to suit your needs.

Participate in learning activities

Learning in the SEE program is inspirational and interactive.

While much of the course will take place in a classroom environment, you may also participate in learning activities outside the classroom. For example, visits to places in your local community such as:

  • Local employers
  • The library
  • Supermarkets and local high street shops.

These outings are designed to make the classes interesting and relevant to your everyday life.
