uLaunch and Telus Health in pioneering collaboration

uLaunch is thrilled to announce a pioneering collaboration with TELUS Health, introducing an innovative service offering for its new specialist disability employment program (NSDEP) solution. This partnership aims to revolutionise support for employees with disabilities and their employers, with a particular focus on small businesses.

Key Highlights:

1.) 24/7 Support Line: uLaunch participants will have access to round-the-clock support through TELUS Health, providing crucial assistance when it’s needed most.

2.) Focus on Small Businesses: Recognising that 97% of Australian businesses employ fewer than 19 people, this initiative is designed to support all employers hiring individuals with disabilities.

3.) Enhanced Employee Assistance: The collaboration seeks to bolster the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for NSDEP participants, regardless of their employer’s current EAP offerings.

4.) Improving Workplace Wellbeing: By providing robust employer support systems, the initiative aims to enhance overall workplace wellbeing and enable businesses to better attract and retain employees with disabilities.

5.) Innovative Support Model: This collaboration represents a new approach to trialling connected models of support delivery in the disability employment sector.

“We recognise that work-related anxieties and concerns can arise at any time,”

said Chelsie Hyland Executive General Manager of uLaunch and Jobfind. “Our collaboration with TELUS Health allows us to offer an additional layer of support that is often not readily available, especially within small businesses.”

Mark Burns, Country Leader Australia for AKG and uLaunch added to this, stating

“I am truly proud of this collaboration with TELUS Health. It marks a pivotal step in fostering more inclusive workplaces across Australia, supporting vital small businesses and economic growth. At uLaunch our focus is empowering people with disability to find gainful employment; by providing essential support services such as an EAP we empower businesses large and small to not only hire but also retain and develop talented people with disability.”

The volume terms for this service are set to be finalised next year, with both uLaunch and TELUS Health eager to discuss the potential benefits for participants and employers.
