Today we celebrate Indigenous Literacy Day! This year, the theme is ‘Be A Proud Voice for Country’.

Reading Opens Doors ‑ doors to future opportunities and choices!

Today, the Indigenous Literacy Foundation (ILF) is sharing some of the deep and diverse ways children, Elders and families connect with Country; and the significance of Country in Aboriginal Communities.

The ILF works with over 400 remote First Nations communities to deliver much-needed literacy and book programs.

They focus on ensuring access to quality resources, including books in First Languages, publishing Community stories and co-designing local programs.
